Blocked And Locked Out

March has busted through the front door, and I was totally caught off guard. It’s hard to believe that my ex has been gone for four months already, and honestly, it feels like everything just happened yesterday. For the past two weeks, I’ve tried really hard to let things go, and to accept the fact that our love story has come to an end. He finally blocked me on social media platforms, so I really didn’t have much of a choice, other than to move on. This action put the last nail in our coffin, and at first it crushed my soul, but now I know, and believe it was the best thing that could have happened for me. Locked out of his life, blocked for the first time since October 2015, finally I will be able to move on. There will be a day in the future however, when he reaches out to me like he did on February first, and the only difference this time will be his cries will fall on deaf ears. I’m no longer in love with him, care for him yes, but love him no. He is no longer my problem, and I wash my hands clean.
